Think about the word relationship in ELA and in your ELA notebook write down what you think the meaning is.
2. When I think of the word relationship, I think about how things are connected or how they relate. Read this passage. While reading, in your ELA notebook, write the gist of each paragraph. The gist is getting the “who, what, when, where, why” of the text. This should be for each paragraph. 3. Now that you have the notes or the gist of each paragraph, look for connections or relationships between any 2. It could be something at the beginning and then something at the end. They do not have to be next to each other. There should be at least 5 relationships or connections. 4. Answer the questions that go with the passage in your notebook. These should be clearly labeled. 5. Watch these 2 videos, Coral Reef Video grasslands video. Make 5 connections or relationships between the 2 in your notebook. Look at side chart to know what to do next. 1. Take your 3 venn diagrams from the book that you were assigned. You must write in sentence form 2-3 sentences comparing and contrasting each: the setting, the events, and the characters. Use your venn diagram and the work you already did. Now just turn it into complete sentences. This should be done in GoogleDocs and shared with me when you are done. THAT MEANS YOU HAVE PROOFREAD AND CHECKED SPELLING.
2. Watch video with NO volume. Make observations in your notebook about what is happening in the video. Where are the animals located? Are they helping one another? How are they surviving? I will be checking this tomorrow and we will go over it. 3. Plug in your laptop. Look at side chart to know what to do next. 1. Use the paper that is the Venn Diagram of events. Read the “Legend of Freedom Hill” with your table groups. You must pick 2 events in the story and compare and contrast them.
2. When you finish with your group, you must individually, on the back, write a paragraph comparing the two events and contrasting them. You must include important details that went along with this event. 3. Turn in your paper to the side table and plug in your computer when you are finished. (You DO NOT have to do the quest) 2. Now you have seen this clip before. Rewatch it and although the theme is the same, write 2-3 sentences in your notebook about how the stories are alike and different. 3. Plug in your laptop and refer to the side chart to know what to do next. 1. Take your rough draft from yesterday and to type it on Google Docs.
2. When you are finished, re-read it and make sure that it makes sense. If there are gaps, add sentences so that your story makes sense. If there are no gaps, move on to the next step. 3. After that, check the spelling. 4. When that is all done, share the document with me. That means it is turned in for me to check. 5. Refer to the side chart to know what to do when you are finished. 2. Fill out Venn Diagram for the two characters in the “The Lion and the Mouse”. 3. Write a paragraph on the back of the paper explaining how the relationship between the cat and mouse was at the beginning, the middle, and the end. One sentence for each. 4. In a book that you have read, can you think of an example of character’s relationships changing over time? How were they at the beginning and how were they at the end? 2-3 sentences.
