1. Read this poem and answer the questions in your ELA notebook.
2. Finish typing and then REVISE your paper. Use spell check and make sure everything is spelled correctly. Read back through and make sure that it makes sense. Open the rubric and make sure you are not missing anything. 3. Free time until 2:30. At this time we will be powering down all iPads and taking the tape off of our desks and clearing our calculators. 1. Read the passage and answer the questions at the bottom in your ELA notebook.
2. Work on typing the last paragraphs on your rough draft for your informative paper. We will be proofreading it tomorrow. 3. Work on Intervention work. 4. Free time. 1. Today you will be taking your graphic organizer from yesterday and writing your Informative paper. Make sure you have an introduction paragraph (3-4 sentences that really grabs your reader's attention), at least 3 body paragraphs (4-5 sentences EACH), and a conclusion paragraph (3-4 sentences) that sums up your paper and summarizes what it was about. You did all the research and hard work yesterday, now you are just putting it into complete sentences that make sense when you read it all together!! This is the rubric that I will use when I grade you, so make sure that your paper meeting all the requirements to get an A!
2. This is written in your ELA notebook. We will be typing it on Tuesday so make sure you finish it and don't leave more work for yourself after a nice 3 day weekend! You will not have that much time on Tuesday to work on this since we are just typing. When you finish, put your ELA notebook away and work on eSpark. We will also make up "Fun Friday" on Tuesday so look forward to that when you come back from break! 1. Choose your topic for your Informative paper. You can pick from any of the articles that I have read to the class or that were assigned to you. They would be listed under 5/22 Work, 5/19 Work, 5/18 Work, 5/17 Work, or the links below.

This is when you are taking information from the source that I give you (the article) and then find sources on your own, the internet. DO NOT PLAGIARIZE. This is why you are writing it in your own words on the organizer first. 3. Put your COMPLETED organizer in your ELA folder. We will be writing tomorrow. If you finish early, get on eSpark, IXL, do Intervention work, Frayer model, or homework. There is no talking. 1. After listening to the passage, look at the pages, rainbows, halos, and Green Flash again and fill out the main idea graphic organizer.
